Built on a fully sealed, lightweight, and modular design, the Van Staal VR Series offers premium performance and versatility for serious anglers. Available in sizes VR50 through VR200, these reels cover everything from light inshore fishing to heavy surf applications.
Each VR Reel is precision-machined from aluminum and features a powerful drag system, smooth operation, and a waterproof body built to handle the harshest saltwater conditions.
The larger sizes (125/150/175/200) share a common body, 4.8:1 gear ratio, and interchangeable components—meaning you can easily swap parts to change sizes as needed. The smaller VR50 and VR75 models feature a faster 6.3:1 gear ratio and compact frame design for finesse or light tackle applications.
This modular construction allows anglers to step up or down in reel size without purchasing a completely new reel—delivering unmatched versatility and long-term value.
